The first four hours of the 2026 Winton 10 Hour are in the books, and I couldn’t be happier with how our team has performed. At the end of Day 1, the team I’m managing sits at the top of the leaderboard, a fantastic result after a slightly stressful start. Practice this morning didn’t go as planned, and car trouble gave us an early challenge. Thankfully, we sorted it, and once the competition began, all five drivers played their part in putting us in a strong position in this event.

Consistency has been the key. Each driver has collected valuable bonus points while keeping their breaks to a minimum. In a regularity event like the Winton 10 Hour, it isn’t simply about being fast. Staying consistent, avoiding mistakes and keeping the car circulating are just as important. Managing the team rather than driving this year has given me a completely different perspective on the event. There is still plenty of competition ahead tomorrow, but finishing Day 1 in the lead is immensely satisfying. Our work isn’t done; we have another 6 hours tomorrow to do the same before we take the top step of the podium.
