What work looks like

I've gone through phases of what work looks like. For most of my career, it was a commute to an office, sitting in cubicles and meeting rooms all day. Then I had the radical shift of working from home, where I traded a cubicle for a home office. Different venue, but I was still sitting at the computer.

Last November, I quit my full-time job and finally got a taste of working on my own terms. There is still plenty of sitting at a computer. This time it's on Zoom calls, or communicating using any number of platforms, or playing with AI. Sometimes, I attend big and small events or meet people 1-1. It's the unpredictability that is the hallmark of my work now. As someone used to routine, it's a big adjustment.

So, what will work look like in the future? Will I even refer to it as work? Will I just be living life in a groove where I've built up teams and systems, revenue rolling in, and I get to live the dream of 90% automation, and 10% is what I truly love doing? If you believe you can have, be, or do anything you want, then why not?
