Vital Fest Day 1

Day 1 is in the books. Day 1 of Vital Fest mixed product information, skills training, and leadership development.
We learned different ways to help people understand the full product line and how to determine which products would be suitable for people to start with. The Wellness Council shared deeper information about specific products, most of which I already knew.
The skills training revolved around recruitment and mastering the art of the invite. This is where many people fall down, and I've had my own challenges tempering my enthusiasm and inviting in a way that creates curiosity without overwhelm. One of the leaders provided her recommendations for conducting home parties, which isn't my preferred method. I understand companies have used this technique for decades, and it must work, but it doesn't fit the E.L.F. framework for me.
We also received excellent training on using social media effectively. This is another area I struggle with because I'd rather just let AI do it, but they all say your social media should be authentically you.
My favorite trainings are the leadership and personal development ones. Co-founder Alberto Barreda shared some interesting points related to how much of what we believe was never really our choice. He said, "Your beliefs aren't proven by words. They're proven by decisions." He also said, "The future won't be different because of what we believe. It will be different because of what we dare to do with those beliefs."
The co-founders, Alex and Dr. Tony, were supposed to make major announcements, but travel delays kept them from arriving until late in the day. They teased some major announcements today. Let's get on with Day 2.
