The selling and buying continue

This week, my mind has been focused on selling and buying a house. You might have noticed my continuous writing on this topic. However, it provides excellent material for writing topics. The selling aspect is gaining momentum. In the last six days, we’ve held three “Open for Inspections” with over 70 groups visiting our house, and eight returning for multiple viewings. These groups demonstrate genuine interest, and the estate agent concentrates on these potential buyers. After one more “open for inspection” this Saturday, the agent will assess whether to pursue expressions of interest or an auction as the best selling strategy for our home. Ultimately, we expect to find a buyer next week. Thank goodness for that; tidying up the house every couple of days is exhausting.

The buying activity is slightly subdued, yet we are intrigued by a three-bedroom townhouse. I appreciate that it is newly constructed, conveniently located near public transport and shops, and situated in our desired area close to the city. The building project includes three townhouses, and the agent is eager to sell the first one quickly; our buyer’s advocate believes he is open to negotiating the price. However, despite any potential negotiations by our buyer’s advocate, this appealing townhouse will still challenge our budget. Nevertheless, I think it’s worth exploring further.
