The founding of the Holistic Referral Network

I just returned from the first official meeting of the founders of the Holistic Referral Network, a group of alternative care practitioners who intend to build a community of healers and a community network.

The purpose, as stated by Paul, the original founder, is to make whole-person wellness easier to understand, easier to find, and more connected to everyday community life in Scottsdale, AZ — and later in other communities.

A holistic lifestyle recognizes that health is shaped by the whole person: the body, mind, emotions, relationships, surroundings, daily habits, sense of purpose, and connection to community. It does not reject conventional medicine, and it does not promise cures. It adds practical support through nutrition, movement, stress regulation, sleep, breathwork, mindfulness, restorative practices, healthy environments, and trusted professional guidance. The central question is not only, "What is wrong?" but also, "What helps this person live with greater balance, resilience, knowledge, and choice?"

The Holistic Referral Network is the front door through which people meet trusted practitioners and learn about credible holistic options. HRN is not simply a list of names. It is a relationship-based community in which practitioners know one another, referrals carry trust, members can ask questions, and the public can find guidance without being pressured or overwhelmed.

This is exactly the kind of network and people that I want to be around.
