Preparing for a photoshoot

Tomorrow, we have a photoshoot. First, the preparation starts with setting aside the clothes.
As usual, I don’t know what to wear. And, I wish I had prepared earlier. ;)
Second, the preparation becomes about brand strategy.
Our photographer asked us a good question: How do you wanna come across?
It took me a while to find the answer. I went back to my business’ core values.
The answer is: I wanna come across joyful, clear and grounded. This helps in choosing the outfit(s).
Third, the preparation is about calming my nerves and having the right mindset:
Removing any pressure and perfectionist tendencies.
Telling myself:
- It’s not the only chance to get a good photo. I can always book another photoshoot.
- I don’t need to compare myself with famous business people with lots of followers, who’ve done hundreds of photoshoots.
- I get to have fun. What if this was fun, how would I approach it?
And setting my intention
- I wanna share my vibe, so people can get to know me, how I look is just one part of the photo. What matters more is how present and genuine I show up in front of the lens.
