Pendulum swing

We still have a few days left in August, but I feel this is a good time for a review. Most of the month I’ve been refining my ideas. This has been an AI-heavy process where I basically generate books for my eyes only. Each book is essentially a highly-tailored research report that is 75k-words long (or a 25k-word short).

The question then becomes, which of these books do I want to see in the world? What are my strongest ideas? What further research do I need to do?

For September, though, I need to focus more on freewriting. Even though I write every day, I’m feeling more and more reluctant and I usually find that happens because I’m trying to pour the words into a mold rather than letting them flow.

As with most things, when I swing too far in one direction, it’s time to make like a pendulum and overshoot wildly in the other direction.
