Opportunities and commitments

Identifying a habit I can commit to is identifying an opportunity for growth. Whether I decide to commit to it or not, and how well I commit to it are other matters. But I need to know what opportunities are available to me first before deciding what to commit to.
I believe this distinction is important because it helps me to not feel overwhelmed. If there are 1,000 ways for me to improve my health, for example, knowing this shouldn’t cause me overwhelm. Trying to implement all 1,000 ways at the same time would (and should) cause me overwhelm. That’s why I like to distinguish between knowing the opportunities and then committing to them to the degree that I can.
Right now I’m on a commitment high. I feel like making changes in my life is easy and I’m not experiencing any inner resistance towards making drastic changes. In tomorrow’s post, I’ll share a list of habits I’m planning to commit to.
What habits have you committed to already or see as opportunities to commit to?
So curious to read the list now! 👀
