On the socials

Today marks my yearly ritual of logging into Facebook to see if anyone wishes me a happy birthday (after they’ve been told by FB that today’s my birthday). It’s almost the only reason I jump on FB anymore. Although, I do also check my brother’s farm updates – no figs this year.

But I am back on the socials again. I finally had Claude set up a shareable snapshot tool for my Writing Streak writing prompts.

I already had Mastodon and Blue Sky accounts, so I’m posting there. Claude suggested I post on Pinterest for these snapshots since those can surface years later. Posts to the others sites live and die within minutes. Right now I’m using Buffer, but I’m planning to integrate posting directly from my dashboard.

I just added automated posting to Mastodon from my Line A Day app. Took 15 minutes to set up and configure with Claude. Usually I can’t be bothered to post to social media, but I guess with AI I’ll eventually have a whole host of little content generators.
