My AI taskmaster

I’m starting a new project – more like three projects under one umbrella where I’m building my perfect writing process with the help of an AI taskmaster.

1. Taskmaster: A system where AI proposes writing tasks for me to complete based on projects I’m working on. I do the tasks and review them. The system learns and adapts to what works, and what didn’t.
2. The App: An app where I write in 15-minute sprints, and each paragraph I write becomes part of an uneditable permanent record. This is based on what worked for me in 2021 and 2022. Assessing the app will be part of the taskmaster’s job.
3. Novel: Editing the novel draft I finished in 2022 as a way to kickstart the project.

I’m starting with the editing project because I actually have a lot of data about the manuscript and how I wrote it. I originally planned and wrote it while I was writing timed sprints. So I was able to parse a lot of data.

According to the stats, it took me 120 hours to write about 60k words of the draft plus another 30k words of planning.

With the writing sprints I was able to capture a lot of info about my process, but I never really had a way to resurface that data and learn from it. Now with AI as my boss, I might finally figure out how my writing brain works.
