Movement is medicine

Or so says Kevin, a certified yoga instructor and stretch therapist. Of course, he's going to say that movement is medicine. With my latest back issue, my tendency has been to move less, and today I decided it's time to move more. This morning, I completed day 1 of the 21-day Heart Coherence Collaborative challenge, which had some amazing meditations that actually made my back feel less annoyed. I decided to go for a walk in the neighborhood, which is not for the faint of heart on a fully sunny day with a temperature of 105 degrees F (about 40 degrees C). I endured the heat, and my back actually feels better than it has in several days.
Non-movement is also medicine, i.e., sleep. For the first time since I've had the Ultrahuman ring, I achieved a sleep score of 100 last night, which I found rather surprising. In fact, my sleep scores have been increasing ever since I swapped my old pillow for an ergonomic one. There's always room for improvement.
I would be more inclined to state that nutritious, whole food is medicine over movement, but we certainly require both. Too much sitting no doubt led to my back issue, and movement seems to be helping it.
