More New Apple Products

The Timehop feature conveniently reminded me that one year ago, I wrote about Apple's latest announcements. Since I just watched today's announcement, I might as well keep the tradition alive, even though I'm no longer an ardent Apple fanboy.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still #TeamMac and #TeamiPhone. I'm just not buy-new-iPhone-every-year crazy like I used to be. That stopped with the iPhone X. It's hard to believe we're up to iPhone 18 now.

So what was on the docket today? iPhone 18 and iPhone 18 Pro, and it's basically rinse and repeat every year. Faster processor, better camera, better battery life, and more AI-enabled, essentially. Since I'm still rocking the iPhone 15 Pro, it might be time for an upgrade.

New AirPods, which have no interest to me. I actually used to love my AirPods Pro, but then I decided my health was more important than the convenience of wearing wireless earbuds constantly.

New Apple Watches, which also don't interest me. I had the very first Apple Watch and never had another one. I discovered I'm not a watch person, and until they make it last multiple days on a charge while I wear it 24/7, I'm not interested.

Finally, we get to the long-rumored foldable iPhone named the iPhone Duo. I'm not gonna lie, it does look pretty cool. When I've seen people use Samsung foldables, it's caught my attention, but it's pretty steep at a starting price of $2k. If I had money to burn, I'd probably plunk it down. Although I would be breaking my evolved rule of never buying a first-generation product. I'll be curious to see the reviews once people have put it through its paces.
