Managing leads

I was reminded of the great movie Glengary Glenross, with its many quotable scenes, notably the "come-to-Jesus" meeting with Alec Baldwin. He tells the group they've got leads, and Jack Lemmon's character says, "The leads are weak." Baldwin fires back, "The leads are weak? YOU'RE weak!"

Leads are gold, but I am ashamed to admit I have not been treating them that way. I collect contact info and business cards and have so many great conversations with people who go nowhere because I failed to follow up. Part of the issue is that I lack a system to manage new and existing contacts. That was supposed to be Go High Level, but as I wrote about previously, I'm canceling that subscription.

The good news is that after kicking the tires on VPulso (Vital Health's all-in-one CRM), I've decided that it is exactly what I needed to keep track of everything. I've already figured out how to import leads and tag them so they're easy to group. I'm also using the pipeline feature, which is a Kanban board that helps me identify which stage the prospects are in. There are so many other features, but I'm not letting myself get distracted. I'll start with the basics and go from there.

Do leads lead to more leads, lead to more sales, or a mix of both?

I would say a mix of both. If someone is not interested in my offer, I make it a point to ask if they know anyone who might be interested.
