Made it to Mickey Mouse Land

Yesterday, I arrived in Orlando without incident, aside from the takeoff delay. I had forgotten how long the flight was — over 4.5 hours. But I kept myself occupied.

American Airlines emailed me that the return flight on Sunday was overbooked and asked for people with flexibility to change flights. At least they gave us a heads-up rather than waiting until we're on the plane to ask. This actually worked out well because a week ago, I learned of a special training on Sunday from 10 to 1. I had booked my flight months earlier and planned to leave in the morning, so I would have missed the training. The option from AA coincided perfectly, and I was able to change my flight to Sunday afternoon without an additional cost.

Orlando is as busy as ever. The airport was a madhouse. I met someone named Angel from a different team. She flew to Orlando on a whim with no plans for where to stay. That was a bold move. She found someone with an extra room, and we shared an Uber to drop her off there. I'm staying at the resort where the conference is to avoid shuffling back and forth.

It should be a fun, exciting day!
