Human Intelligence

In the midst of us using more and more AI-tools, it seems like we’re competing with machines and losing what makes us human:
- critical thinking
- creativity
- communication and collaboration skills (like emotional intelligence, listening, emphasizing etc).
We think we need to be even faster, and more perfect. We’re less patient and tolerant of others and mistakes.
So how does a human intelligent person act?
- She doesn’t give away ownership of work. Even if she works with tools such as chatGPT, she stays in the lead and doesn’t outsource responsibility. If something is a mistake, she takes the blame.
- She takes time to create and be inspired, off the screen, to reconnect to herself
- She can name feelings and sense what other people must feel when they share something emotional
- In conversations: she doesn’t treat them as transactions, but as opporutnities to build relationships that are give and take. Where she cares about the other person and follows up.
- If she’s uneasy with somebody, she looks at is as an opportunity and brings up the issue, rather then walk away
- If she doesn’t agree with somebody, she stays curious
- If there’s a conflict, she’s proactive and picks up the phone, rather then sending 10 AI-enhanced superficial emails back and forth
Any other ideas and examples?
