Holiday? What holiday?

Today is Labor Day, a federal holiday in the US. I seem to recall writing a newsletter about the origin of this holiday, but I don't remember the details and don't feel like looking it up. That's the problem when you've written over 300 newsletters.
When I had a traditional job, holidays were great. It was built-in time off, and the bonus was not having to use personal time. A holiday on Monday meant at least a three-day weekend, and I often extended it by taking additional days. But how times have changed.
Life as an entrepreneur and building a business is quite different. My partner suggested I take the day off, but I just don't feel like taking a break now. There's a lot of momentum in this game, and I can see how business owners can end up burned out because they keep cranking. I'm nowhere near burnout, though. In fact, even though I quit my job last November, I still feel like I'm just getting started.
So no holiday for me. Maybe we'll go someplace for dinner, and that will be the extent of it. I guess it's a sign that I'm on the right path when I actually want to work on my business.
