Getting attention

I was pleasantly surprised on Monday when a breathwork practitioner told me a woman found his event through my directory. Even more heartening, the link surfaced through an inquiry on ChatGPT. I keep hearing that SEO went out with powdered wigs, and now we're supposed to focus on Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). So far, so good, even though I have no idea how to optimize that. It's Claude's problem, not mine.
I also get inquiries about listings in my directory. People seem to think I'm the organizer, so I politely redirect them to the organizer's info. At least I'm getting some interaction.
Over the last couple of months, I've received several unsolicited emails offering partnerships with my newsletter. They are products/services in the health and wellness space, but I don't see myself as becoming a "sponsored" brand. I have not taken them up on any of the offers.
The theme I've noticed is that I'm finally getting some attention after toiling away for almost six years (newsletter) and a year and a half (directory). If you work on something valuable in the marketplace, people will find you sooner or later. You just have to stay in the game long enough.
