Forgotten problems

They say, you’ve already achieved things you said would make you happy. I have things now that my past self from just 2-3 years ago would yearn for.

What if we flipped it around?

I had problems 2-3 years ago that I don’t even think about now. It felt like such a killer then. Yet, here I am now. Still here. Still alive. Still going.

Problems like:

  • Worrying when my next gig will come
  • Being anxious if my industry will ever recover
  • Watching chronic health conditions worsen by the month
  • Totally panicking inside if I can feed my family but can’t show it
  • Watching my bank account shrink month by month to my last dollar
  • Sleep deprived from waking multiple times a night to care for a baby
  • Trying to find employment after a decade being freelance but no interviews

I’ve already forgotten the problems I said I would be so grateful to solve.

Everything passes.
This, too, shall pass.
