Fire your boss

In the corporate world, you sometimes land in a situation where you do not get along with your boss. Maybe it was all rainbows and puppies in the honeymoon period, and then it turned sour for whatever reason. Maybe you inherit a boss who didn't hire you. No matter the reason, sometimes it just doesn't work out. You might be able to secure a different placement, but it's more likely you'll either be terminated or apply for another position.

In the network marketing world, things operate differently. You don't have a boss, per se. You have a sponsor, who is the person who brought you into the organization. Then you have the chain of people above the sponsor, known as the "upline." You are your own boss, but you also rely on the upline for support, mentorship, etc.

I have learned to take full responsibility for my business, so I won't use lack of support as an excuse. Nevertheless, our team has unfortunately had no support from our primary "Diamond" leader for the better part of six months. My sponsor, Chef Z, has decided it's time for a change. She has gotten the ball rolling to initiate a request with corporate to transfer her and her team to a different upline. These changes are not taken lightly, but they are not unprecedented.

Today, I had a Zoom call with a potential leader who might be our new upline. If it all pans out, we will be in much better hands.
