Expiring Domains

Today I have cleaned up some of the domains; these domains either have a story with me, but I haven’t done much work on them for the past two years. Now I have decided to give up renewing them since I have already renewed them for a few years without much progress.

  1. getmetricshq.com [2020] - I tried to build it for sending daily metrics a few years ago, but got fewer than ten users. There aren’t many social media metrics out there, and it requires some complex setup or a personal token in order to retrieve.

  2. getpayhq.com [2020] - At the time, Stripe released an easy way to set up a payment. The idea was to tap into the Stripe API and create a quick payment link; the prototype was ready, but without marketing, it didn’t really have an official release.

  3. hellojb.com [2020] - A local Facebook page turned into a directory listing. I had a staff member at the time who helped me manage the page and listings. We got a few merchants on board, but it didn’t generate much revenue, so we stopped working on it.

  4. chatgramhq.com [2019] - I managed to build a Telegram prototype that interacted with the Product Hunt API and won a small award from Product Hunt. That was my first five minutes of fame on the Internet. The original idea was to build a tool that was easy for users to launch Telegram bots, but I lost interest after trying many Telegram libraries and failed to build the final product.

Until the next batch cleanup.
