Discipline is a superpower

I've probably used that title before, and I've probably written about this topic before. It would be great to have a way to consolidate all my writing from various sites into one big archive and use AI to query it. Maybe @jasonleow can put on the roadmap some sort of export feature for LifeLog, similar to the GitHub archive we used for 200WAD.

My friend Scott sent me a text making fun of his propensity to procrastinate. For example, he'll order a gadget or supplements, and it will arrive and stay in the box for weeks or months before he opens it. Or he should order business cards and waits for his wife to do it. He claims that if he listens to a podcast and gets fired up, it's an immediate call to action. I can verify that because that is what led him to buy a cold plunge.

My reply to his idea of requiring some external factor for motivation: "The kicker is to turn on the 'get it done' at will, or better yet, make it a lifestyle." That's really one of the secrets of success, isn't it? Taking action and getting things done.

I believe that lack of discipline is what keeps many people from achieving their full potential. I'm not going to pretend to have the answers, but I do have some level of discipline in certain areas of life, and I can verify that it is indeed a superpower.

@therealbrandonwilson Oh yeah you can export your writings in Google Sheets or JSON, it’s under the /account page.

Indeed, agree about discipline. As Joko loved to say, discipline equals freedom!

Somehow, I was unaware of this feature or forgot about it. Thank you!
