Calm corner

For me, I know a city’s for me when I can find a sacred space to rest in. Truly rest in. Melting into the seat kind of rest. The heart is contented and at peace kind of rest. A calm corner.
The calm corner can be any place, or anything.
An unassuming temple.
An old church.
A piece of quiet beach.
A promenade by the river.
A book store full of old books.
A park to take a slow walk in.
A tiny alley way.
A cool farmer’s market.
An old stone barn.
A beat-up bicycle.
A bench in the middle of nowhere.
Ambient music played in a museum.
I find that, and I know I can live there.
For a long time.
Forever, even.
I think I found it in Chiangmai.
Thank god.
