Building for someone else

October might be an interesting month.

For the first time in a long time, I’m thinking of building something new. But not for myself, but for my wife. Something that she can work on while she’s in Chiangmai. Something that can replace her current income, partially or fully.

I’m a provider. And this is another nice way for me to provide, using my skills and expertise. When we first discussed it, it felt only natural for us to do something together. After all we’ve been running ‘projects’ together for more than a decade! Plus, she probably won’t be able to work in Thailand due to visa restrictions, so creating something online and remote is perfect.

I’ve been struggling to build for myself.
So maybe building for—and being accountable to—someone else might help.
I always preferred intrinsic motivation, but perhaps now I need an extrinsic push.

Maybe.

Forwards, anyway.
