Being intentional with time

Time is a peculiar concept. For today's post, I'll restrict the definition to the linear passage of events that we call time in the physical plane.
When I meet people, I invariably hear that they are either too busy or have no time. For both statements, my answer has become, "You should be using AI more."
Some guy named AI should be called the "Great Time Reclaimer." If there is any clear ROI on my investment in AI, it's definitely in saving time.
Even without AI, claiming to be too busy and not having enough time is just an excuse for what many people are allowing to happen — the hijacking of their attention. People love talking about time management, but above that, the more important concept is attention management.
I've had phone notifications silenced for a long time, but my recent action has made a huge difference: setting my phone to Do Not Disturb. I'm not a customer service department, sitting around waiting for calls to come in so I can drop everything and help someone with something. Unscheduled phone calls were a major distraction, and I felt a weight lift when I set DND and could schedule calls around my schedule.
