Back on track

With Louie now recovering, we can resume one of our favourite routines: walking the dogs. We paused our daily outings during his recovery and felt the void in our days. The dogs longed for the adventure, and we missed the simple joy of being outdoors together. Walking Louie and Otis twice daily is particularly special. The morning walk sets a positive tone for the day. The quiet streets, fresh air, and eager dogs excited to find out what’s new since yesterday. It’s a calm moment for thinking, reflecting, and sharing quiet companionship.
The evening walk feels different. It signals the end of the day and offers a moment to relax. Regardless of how hectic or stressful the day has been, walking with the dogs helps put everything in perspective. Their excitement is contagious. They don’t worry about tomorrow or dwell on the past; they just enjoy the present. What I value most is the steady routine. Despite changing seasons, busy schedules, and life’s challenges, the dogs always look forward to their walk. With Louie healthy again, we can once more share these small yet meaningful moments that bring so much happiness to our days. It’s good to be back on track.
