Attention, the currency of consistency

Consistency is boring.
Consistency is mundane.
Consistency is repetitive.

That’s why consistency is hard, because it requires attention where it’s hard to pay attention. Attention is the currency of consistency. Consistency is giving yourself the attention that you need but became too bored to give because the world is more shiny and constantly trying to take attention from you.

Everything now is designed to take that mundane attention towards yourself, away from you.
Every algorithm is helping you to reach faux intensity, cheaply and easily. Too cheap and easy, in fact.
Everyone wants your attention, because attention is monetised now and the rewards are attractive.

And we all fall prey to giving our attention away freely, too freely, to others. With none left for ourselves.

When you prioritise attention to yourself, for yourself, consistency is not hard.

Boring is not hard.
Mundane is not hard.
Repetitive is not hard.
