An early starter

One of the things I enjoy most is being an early riser. While many people are still asleep, I am already up, making the most of the day’s quiet hours. There is something special about the world before sunrise. The streets are calm, the air feels fresh, and a sense of peace that disappears once the rush of daily life begins.

Most mornings begin with a walk. The dogs are always eager to get going, and their enthusiasm is contagious. As we walk through the neighbourhood, I have time to observe the changing seasons, watch the sunrise, and appreciate the stillness around me. It is a simple routine, yet it sets a positive tone for the day ahead.

These early hours also offer a chance to think and plan. Without interruptions, I can reflect on priorities, organise my thoughts, and consider what I want to achieve. Often, in these quiet moments, solutions to problems seem to appear, or new ideas come to mind. Being an early riser is not about getting more work done. For me, it is about creating space before the day’s demands take over. Those peaceful hours help me feel calmer, more focused, and ready for whatever the day may bring.
