A trip to Mexico

Yesterday, my sponsor and business partner (affectionately known as Chef Z) suggested taking a trip to Hermosillo, Mexico, the location of Vital Health Global headquarters. Old me would have been resistant to the idea. New me said yes immediately.

I've only been to Mexico once. Years ago, I flew to San Diego with some buddies, and we parked and walked over the border to Tijuana on Cinco de Mayo of all days. I thought it was going to be party city, but the town square was rather subdued. A summary of that experience is probably best left to another post.

The plan is for us to leave bright and early on Monday morning. I'm getting a rental car, picking up Chef Z, and making a pit stop in Tucson to pick up another team member. From Phoenix, it's around a six-hour drive time, not including potential delays at the border. This would be too much to complete in a day, so we are planning an overnight stay somewhere, perhaps in Hermosillo.

This is all a new experience for me, and I would be approaching it with trepidation if I were going alone. It will be nice to have team members with me. I'm also looking forward to meeting the executives and possibly getting a tour of the office or labs, so I can have a story and pictures to share with new recruits.
