A new racer

Six weeks after selling my track car, I was thrilled to see it back on the track. The new owner had taken it to his first event with the Zoom Zoom Club, and from the photos and social media comments, it was clear he was loving every moment. Selling the car hadn’t been an easy choice. It had given me years of enjoyment, challenge, and camaraderie. Like many enthusiasts, I invested not only money but also time, effort, and countless memories. Letting it go felt like closing a meaningful chapter.
What reassured me was knowing the car went to someone who truly intended to use it as intended. The social media post showcased not only his excitement but also the support from other club members. Experienced members helped him prepare the car, gave advice, and ensured he felt welcome at the track. It reminded me how kind and supportive the motorsport community is. Instead of feeling nostalgic or regretful, I smiled. The car now has a new owner who seems to bring it the same happiness I once did. In many ways, that’s the best outcome I could have hoped for when I handed over the keys.
