A holiday for everyone

For many years, whenever my wife and I headed off on holiday, one of the biggest expenses was arranging for Louie and Otis to stay at a kennel. While we always knew they were safe and well cared for, it came with a hefty price tag and a touch of guilt. Leaving them behind never felt quite right, especially knowing how much they enjoy being part of a family environment. This year is different. Our friend has generously offered to look after Louie and Otis while we are away, and the arrangement could not have worked out better. Her young grandson is absolutely thrilled that the dogs are coming to stay. From the moment he heard the news, he started talking excitedly about them sleeping on the end of his bed.

It makes it so much easier to know that our boys will be surrounded by people who genuinely want them there. Instead of spending their days in a kennel, they will be part of a household, receiving attention, affection, and, no doubt, more than a few treats. For Louie and Otis, it will be a holiday of their own. It is reassuring to know that while we are enjoying our upcoming trip, our two furry companions will be making happy memories of their own with a young boy who can hardly wait for their arrival.
